Verizon has expanded their sports offerings on the FiOS TV to include the NHL. Now Verizon customers can access the NHL on their Verizon phone. NHL fans are as diehard about their hockey as football players are about their hockey and now they don’t have to feel left out in the cold.

By purchasing the entire season of NHL Center Ice games customers receive a package that includes up to 40 games in the NHL that are out-of-market games and also certain games from the Stanley Cup Playoff’s first 2 rounds.

The NHL Network is the first network dedicated strictly to hockey and the National Hockey League and NHL Center Ice is the first hockey sports package to be offered through a mobile communications company.

Highlights

The NHL Network will be a 24-hour a day network dedicated to all things hockey, both on and off the ice. The highlights of these offerings of NHL on your Verizon phone include:

    Original programming available on the NHL Network;
  • Analysis and highlights of the games;
  • Live events;
  • Past events that were not aired on network-catch up on events you’ve hear about but haven’t seen;
  • A nightly NHL highlights show “NHL On The Fly”;
  • 75 games in the 2008-2009 season that are all in HD.

NHL Center Ice will allow hockey fans to keep up with the action on the ice no matter where they are located.
