Apple Downloads Continue to Soar

Some fads come and go. Maybe they sell a million copies in a short time and then the bubble bursts and it all comes to an end. Not so with Apple downloads. The Apple iStore and mobile applications download continue to soar and there doesn’t appear to be a slow down anytime soon.

The iPhone as of course an overnight success and the number of applications created for use on the iPhone is astounding. There are well over 10,000 applications for the Apple iPhone, from games to music to business applications.

In one six week period, over 100 million applications were downloads. That is a staggering number for any business to reach in that short of a time period. And it hasn’t stopped there.

Will the Bubble Burst

Expert predictions would have had the Apple applications download bubble to have already burst. Instead, it has soared to even higher demand. The sheer number of applications available for the iPhone is reason enough to choose the iPhone over the Blackberry.
The Apple Store is full of applications and content for the iPod and the iPhone, keeping Apple users happily inside their own realm without having to go searching elsewhere for music, applications and more.

Apple should have an even more stellar year in 2009. The Apple store is virtually pure profit. All they really have to do is approve the apps and cash in on the downloads. This puts the Apple Store in the running to overtake iTunes in profits.

Apple’s storefront for applications and content has proven that not all bubbles have to burst. Some continue to soar and take on a life of their own. The higher they fly the longer they are able to stay in the air. The same can be said for the Apple Store. The more apps and content they offer the bigger they get and the longer they will be around.
